Miss taking baths

My doctor didn't say anything to me either and I have had a TAH and have already had my stitches out because I also had implants removed at the same time so the PS took out stitches while I was in her office. Is that why they make you wait before you can have bath, because of stitches?

They tell you to wait because of the vaginal stiches, I had a TAH and was told no bath for 6 weeks, it could also bring infection to the vaginal cuff.
I never had had external stiches, I was glued and steri striped, but I was loaded w/ internal stiches.

I think Diana is right - it's to avoid infection of cervical/vaginal stuff. I think every doc has a different opinion, though. Kind of like how each doc tells you to take a different amount of time off of work.
That's my theory anyway!
