Help-what to put on my sore incision!!

Hi I am post op about 3 weeks tomorrow. I had my surgery via Da VInci. As you all probably know I have about 4 tiny incisions across my belly. They are really sore and sting. I have looked and there is no dischare(sorrry if TMI) they dont look infected. DOes anyone have any suggestions what to put on my incisions to soothe them? I would ask your surgeon's office. Mine didn't want me putting anything on the incision until it healed. After that, he said Vitamin E oil is okay. I also got some Scarprin to help the scar go away when it's even more healed. I used it for a bit, but then the incision started bugging me, so I stopped for a bit.

How did your doctor close or cover the incisions? Mine used the clear
glue . It was itching and finally came off in the second week.

You might want to ask your doctor just to be sure.

I'm 3 wks from a daVinci procedure but my Dr looked at one sore one and gave me neosporin for it, after taking a culture just in case. So maybe you should call just to ask. I just have one incision that still bothers me. Hope yours are better soon.

Thank you all for your support. I called my doctor and he said lotion and this is normal it needs to heal. Okay so I asked him what to put on them because they are sore especially my belly button. I asked himif i can use Neosporin, he said yes. Also I will used what one of you have mentioned for the scaring. I am hoping they wont leave to bad of scars.

HI hyster--sisters...Okay it's Friday and my incision still is sore. I looked at it and it looks swollen. I am going to call my doctor in the morning. Thanks for all your support.

Okay I called my doctor and he is on vacation until Monday. SO I am just putting Neosporin on it and hopefully it is not infected.

To be honest teen7, instead of just asking the Dr about it on Monday, could you make an appt so he can visually SEE what is going on? Treating over-the-phone isn't always reliable. Seriously, better safe than sorry. You really can't afford an infection right now... Ouchie! Besides, you are pretty much halfway through your healing process
