did you get bruised from SAH/TAH?

I was thinking that with other surgeries I had (foot and breast) the area was all bruised and battered looking. I got no bruising at all from my SAH. They did some work on my kidneys and bladder too. Is this usual or do most ladies get bruising?

I had SAH on 4/8. I had a little bruising for the first few days after surgery.

I had TAH April 8th. 3 or 4 bruises came and went between about day 3 and day 7, immediately above the bikini incision and on the pubic area.

yep. I had a big bruise day after TAH, my hubby looked at it. It was on my right side ab area, above incision.

No wonder doc told me 'some get beat up more than other's in surgery, you are one of them'.

Makes you wonder what REALLY happens when under?

I also had lil pin prick looking marks on my left wrist? I still dunno what those were.

I am curious about this, and doc wont elaborate. The marks on my left wrist werent from the IV cuz that was in the right arm.

Anyone else?

Sure did - from the middle of my left buttock around to my right hipbone. Still a tiny bit black and blue but it has faded tremedously

It looked like someone methodically beat me.
