New and have concerns

I'm so confused about this issue. My DR has not given me the choice to keep or not keep the cervix so I dont know what is going to happen on that part. I dont want to have sexual problems if it is removed. My surgey is on 5/29. I have had the Novasure proceedure and I too have had worse periods than before bleeding mor frequently etc. I also have PCOS and I have been given the choice to keep my ovaries if I want because of my age (34) but my DR has said she would like to take them. Does anyone have any information about this issue.

I'm no doctor but I'll tell you what I read as far as the ovaries go.
If they take your ovaries you go into instant menopause. Also, you are at a higher risk for heart disease. There is a good right up on this site about a study suggesting to keep the ovaries. It really depends on the reason why your doc wants to take them.
I'm 46 and my doc said to keep them even though I'm much closer to menopause and I don't have any history of ovarian cancer. All docs are different though. Only you can make the choice. Read up on everything before making the decision, even go see another doc for a second opinion. That's what really helped me.
