What to wear home?

My surgery is next Tuesday. What did you ladies find comfortable to wear home from the hospital? I have jeans and sweats. I imagine the sweats will be baggy and most comfortable but I'll have an abdominal incision so the stretchy waist sounds painful. Anyone try tie pants?

What to wear home?

Hi If you're having an abdominal incision, I'd go with either a loose dress or jumper - that way you don't have to deal with a waistband.

Great Question

That was a great question...and I think you got a great answer....I needed to know that, too! I think I'm going to go with a jumper...something I can just drop down over my head.

Thanks for asking something that I needed to know, too! This board is great for that....

Best wishes...and you are in my prayers now!

What to wear home?

If you live close to the hospital like I do (only 5 minutes away), I wore my nightie, robe and slippers home. Couldn't see the point in changing in the hospital then 5 minutes later changing back again when I got home. Definitely do not wear your jeans....bad idea! Anything that isn't too tight will be fine. Think loose and roomy! Tie pants would be great.

All the best.

Least possible work

I put on my robe and slippers and let the nurse wheel me to my mom's care right outside. It was cold and sprinkling, but I was in and out of the car only a minute or two. When I got home and into bed, one of my aunts pointed out that I was still wearing my hospital gown. Oh well.
