4 1/2 Months and feeling great!

I had a LSH for fibroids and Adenomyosis and was in so much pain all the time I was living on Vicodin. I had huge painful clots, soaked pad after pad after pad all day long and didn't know some days how I would get out of bed to function.

I am now 4 1/2 months post op and I can truley say it was/is THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF!
I can live life again, leave the house, go to parties, have SEX again and ENJOY IT and not be so tired all the time.

Hang in there!

4 1/2 Months and feeling great!

I would like to agree with what is posted! I had my hysterectomy back in January. Life is incredible after hysterectomy! The initial recovery phase had it's ups and downs, but it is now a distant memory.

I am coming out of my first summer without having to worry about the period from hell. My ovaries are back to working normally after their shock from the surgery, and I don't think twice about wearing white.

My daughter was whining about her period the other day, and just smiled and said that I don't miss it!

Life after having whatever sent us into the hospital for the surgery is GREAT! Yeah, there is initial pain and some frustration about being laid-up, but that quickly fades.

Hang in there ladies, and just think most of you will be in the same position as me this time next year, wearing white, pain and period free! It is also amazing having my iron levels back to normal, the increased energy level is amazing. Sex is also pretty wonderful!

Hi Suez!! I TOTALLY AGREE!! This was the best thing ever!! And to be honest, the recovery from my abdominal hyst. was easier than my tonsillectomy and sinus surgery! I just walked a bit slower!!

Great for you! Congrats!

4 1/2 Months and feeling great!

I am also so totally happy. I still get pulling and some itching and stinging around my incision at times but I am just so thrilled at how free I feel. My Summer has been great. And one thing I just never really thought about is the fact that we never have to worry about birthcontrol again. That plus no bleeding all the time and not having to turn DH away all the time has made me relax and fell happier so sex is great too.

I was also very anemic before surgery so the energy level has soared too. Yeah!!!
