Very slight bleeding 6 months post/kept ovaries and cervix
I'm going to consult my doctor about this at my annual, but thought I'd check in here to see if anyone else had a similar issue.
I'm six months post hysterectomy, and in recent months have noticed some slight cyclical bleeding for a few days once a month.
It's only slight. To be graphic, it leaves no stain on my underwear, just on the toilet paper.
If I should speed up my schedule talking to my doctor, let me know!

Sounds like a mini period since you kept your cervix and ovaries. I'm sure there will more to post about it.

That's what I'm thinking...that there must be just a teensy bit of endometrial tissue there somewhere!

Re: Very slight bleeding 6 months post/kept ovaries and cervix
Mini periods can be normal for those who have retained their cervix and at least one ovary. Because the cervix is not a separate organ but is rather the neck of the uterus, endometrial lining can be left with the cervical portion of the uterus.
Don't hesitate to double check with your doctor regarding your concerns. There may be some options your doctor can suggest to stop the bleeding if it is bothersome for you.
