Hello everyone. Please ignore my spellibg. English its not my first language. Anyhow. Im glad I found this side as I was told yesterday I need hysterectomy. Here is a little about me. Im 29 have 2 daughters 10 and 5yrs old. My hubby is in Afghan. He can come home for the surgery but will onlu be able to stay 2weeks. I dont have familu here in TX. I just moved here from eastern europe 2months ago. I have in laws in AR but they cant help either (father in law in hospital). I hope to learn as much as I can from you ladies and one day give adivce to the new ladies.. I go in thurdays for ultrasound to see if my overys are ok. My utures is enlarged and has fibroids.. Thanks for letting me be a part of this side. As its realy hard going through it alone!!.

Hi, this is a great site for informatin and support. I was so glad when I found it. I am sorry your family is so far away. But at least your husband can be there the first couple of weeks.

Iam about 17 day post op and am up and doing light housework. I had a laposcopic hysterectomy, both my ovaries and my uterus. I could not do everything on my own right now. Do you have friends nearby who could help out a little? I remember reading a couple of posts on here by women who had friends come in and help out. You'll need to take it easy and rest a lot. I push myself too hard sometimes but I am working on building up strength because I return to work on the 12th.

Thanks for reply. I do have some friends/neighbore but not one I could ask for help. I have a dear friend but she lives 5hrs away and has to work.. How are you doi g so far?

Hi VB <3 I'm glad you found this site, it has been so helpful to me. I still don't have all the answers but lots of the ladies here do! I've been reading, reading, reading!
Did your doctor recommend what kind of procedure you will need?

I'm glad you found us. We understand and you're not alone. You may need extra help post op. is there a church you're involved with, that can be a good support system. It sounds like your husband is in the military. Is there support available to you there? I believe there is a support system for spouses of military members. It would be nice to have people bring you dinners, help with the kids, etc.

I am sorry you're dealing with this at such a young age and with your family far away.
