strange metallic taste & burning tongue
Be CAREFUL with this symptom.
It COULD just be a side effect of one or more of your medications and will not cause anything further...however....
8 Years ago, I had a reaction to Ibuprofen which caused the metallic taste. Each day the taste was worse as I continued the medication...until one morning I woke up with Bells Palsy. The paralysis on the left side of my face lasted for a FULL 6 months and is still not completely un-noticeable.
Basically, in my case, the Ibuprofen caused an inflammation in the nerve that controls the facial muscles. It ended up damaging the nerve and caused the Bells Palsy.
It may not be a need of concern, but DO mention it to your doc. Many of my docs did not believe the Ibuprofen caused my Bells since it is not listed in the usual side effects or concerns for the medication...until I told them the symptoms appeared BOTH times I used it for my Fibromyalgia...only the second time, it was full blown Bells.
Don't be frightened, but do call your doc for his medical opinion.
