No Date: doctor wants a DaVinci

My doctor & I have been trying different methods to cure my problems but no prevail, they still are happening. Even though It's been a month since my NovaSure ablation in March, I still had heavy bleeding. My doctor referred me to a doctor in another town/city that can do this type of procedure. So I am waiting on a call from their office to set up an appointment to talk with the doctor about my situation. Hopefully then I will know when my surgery is.

I did my research on the Da Vinci Robotics and met with a Dr here in LA that does it and I'm sold!! Minimally invasive and they can see microscopic things that cannot be seen w/ the naked eye. From what I hear, it's a much quicker recovery. A friend had open heart surgery via Da Vinci (no cutting open the rib cage, just laperascopic holes) and he did GREAT!!!

Where are you located?? I scheduled my surgery for 5/11...and would have had it earlier had the robotics been available.

The da Vinci is the way to go! I'm 9 days post-op and feeling great! Good luck to you!!!

I have watched videos abt this machine and it looks amazing! It's going to be interesting to be in another city abt 50 miles away from my friends and family. Oh well.

i am also having the davinci and am completely sold on it. i too do not have my date yet but am very anxious... i have very similar symptoms to you so i can feel what you are going through.. i am having a total hyst including ovaries, tubes and cervix. cleaning everything out. doc said its most likely gonna have to happen anyway due to the endo so might as well do it at once.. i am 31 and have a 3 year old so i am ready to go.. it just cant get here fast enough

I wasn't sure if there was anyone out there that had to have a Hysto before their were 30... I did want another kid so my DD could have a sibling but my health is so bad that I can't now. She does have cousins to play instead.
