hello

I am suppose to have a partial hysterectomy in 6 days . I haven't heard anything from the dr. or the insurance company about my auth #. I am planning on calling the dr.'s office tommorrow to ask about the auth # if they say they don't have it . I will ask to talk to my gyn to find out what we are going to do. I will be so upset if we have to reschedule my surgery. My Mom took time off from work to take care of me. My sil took the day off to go withus and so did my fiance. I am in unbelievable pelvic pain that has been keeping me up at night. I took time off from college to get this done.

hello

That sounds REALLY frustrating (and a bit scary). I encourage you to get pushy - start with calling the doctor's office, and the insurance company if you need to. If you don't get the answers you need from the person you talk to, just thank them and ask to speak to their supervisor. Repeat as necessary!!! Sometimes it's tough to be pushy, but just do what you need to do (be polite, but firm - and I wouldn't hesitate to "turn on the tears" if you think it would help)!

Best of luck to you, and I hope we hear from you soon that everything went well.
