1 month post hysterectomy: Are muscle spasms normal?

Hello everyone, I haven't dissapeared, lol.
It has been a month since my hysterectomy, things are healing pretty good. I have been having abdominal muscle spasms. They are very annoying. Is this a normal issue?

Hi Angie

I had my hysterectomy on the 6th of Feb and have been experiencing the same. The doc said it was because they had to pull the muscles apart so they are knitting back together. I'm assuming to had an abdominal hysterectomy?

Thanks for sharing this. I am having the same issue but only at night when I am horizontal and trying to sleep. I feel like I am trying to do situps unconsciously. It is starting to turn painful at times. Have you found any way to get them to relax when they start up?
