weird feelings!!??

Ok so my surgery is in 2 weeks . The weird thing is, the closer it gets, the more tired i am. I have been really tired for the last few months but here lately its been really bad. I come home from work and head straight for my bed. Also i am burning up all the time, my poor husband is freezing and i feel like i am sitting on a heater. I am only 29 and dont think this is normal. I hope to keep my ovaries, TAH 7/30, so will this get better?

Re: weird feelings!!??

Hi kmaize, Im scheduled 7/30 as well, and ya know, I read this and thought, wow...Im not the only one. I can't keep cool enough, and I am ALWAYS tired.... It's crazy strange, and Im not sure exactly what's causing it. But don't feel alone sugar, Im right there with ya. 2 weeks!

Re: weird feelings!!??

Welcome to :hs: Kmaize

I'd suggest you call your dr's office and run this past the nurse. It could be 'normal' or relief - but your doctor's office should determine or at least be aware you are going thru it.

[For me, I can get "that" tired b/c of anemia, stress/depression can also have that affect on me.]

July 30th will be here before you know it - remember to for the next couple months!

Best wishes.

Re: weird feelings!!??

I had to giggle when I read this, because I reported the same thing to my doctor on my pre-op visit and while the Dr was examining me, I found I was so hot I had the paper from the exam table glued to my skin all over my butt it was so funny we both laughed at my dilemma. But she said it was stress and she's seen it before. But it is good to mention it if you have not had your pre-op exam.

Re: weird feelings!!??

I've been really exhausted myself and I think some of it is relief and some of it's stress and just kind of wanting to check on things for awhile. I don't think I'm sleeping very well and that adds to it. It's been 100+ here lately, so the heats hard to attribute to anything other than the weather

Re: weird feelings!!??

I've been tired all the time as well and I too am having hot flashes. I have no idea what's up, but I wish you the best of luck with your surgery!

Re: weird feelings!!??

I am having same issues too, but I am also hypotyhroid and very anemic.
After my surgery and recover I am going to have my lab repeated and see where I am in it.
