I think I'm losing it

All these feelings and worries are normal. It is hard facing major surgery. There have been many, including me, who thought they might die. We didn't!!! That is why they repeat the saying here that waiting is the hardest part.

Many have had that kind of catheter, too. Soon someone will be along to share their positive experience and give understanding.

If your house doesn't get done, it will be o.k. Make a list and prioritize things. Do first what you need done for YOU that no one else can do.

Will dh and friends help with house and kids, etc. while you recover? It is important to have a support system going. I would work on that first. Houses will wait.

Ask your dr. if they can give you something to help you cope.

I could not sleep pre-op with all these things going through my mind. The dr. cheerfully prescribed Ambien so I would not be an exhausted zombie when I got to the hospital.

Keep us updated on how you do.

Hi Sandy

OK Sweety here is the first thing: take a deep breath, good now repeat I am going to do something that is going to make me a new woman. I will be healthy, feel good and leave all my cares behind me. Now next thing is you are never alone. I have heard a lot of the ladies talk about bladder repair so I am sure someone will be along in a minute to give you their details. Now you must remember that each woman is different, but there are very similar details in each surgery. AS for needles I have always hated them. My Dad who was a school teacher use to have to hold me when they gave me shots. But they made me so comfortable at the castle that even the pain I had wasn't much. So take another deep breath. Hope this helps you feel a little better. God bless.
