6 days to go!

I only have six days to go until my surgery date. I am so scared it's ridiculous. I feel like a child about to go to the dentist office. I hurt so badly that it will be a relief not to hurt anymore. I wish I could sleep through the next week and wake up after the surgery is completed. I know that their are thousands of other women out there going through the same emotional and physical thoughts and pains that I am going through. But sometimes I feel so alone in this agony of pain. It has been real hard the last few days, for all I seem to do is cry. I know that a good part of the crying comes from the lupron shot, but I would like to feel good and normal for one day before the surgery. Just to give me a little bit of hope. My fiance trys to understand what I am going through, but he just doesn't understand. It sometimes put a strain on our relationship when I have such awful mood swings or I hurt so bad that I don't won't to get up. I try to be cheerful and active for him and my children, but here lately I just don't want to do anything. I am a little worried that I might be becoming depressed. Sorry for the long letter, but I just really needed to release some of these bilt up emotions.

6 days to go!

Dear Mistress196,

Waiting for surgery can be pretty traumatic, especially if it's major surgery like what you're about to face.

I, too, was beginning to get a little apprehensive about my pending surgery on March 4th, but I had to put my faith in God and trust that everything would be fine. Besides that, I was glad to finally be able to go to the bathroom without having to strain 'cause the problems I had with my fibroids was that they were pushing stuff down in my intestines at the top and then holding everything in at the bottom since I had some fibroids near the colon area also.

Before the surgery, I had to have a barium enema, colonoscopy and CT scan before it was finally determined that my long-standing fibroids were causing all of my problems. Knowing that getting rid of them would bring relief was a driving force in being able to handle the surgery. Now I'm on the road to recovery and doing quite well -- and I trust that you will, too.

Don't worry too much and make yourself sick and . You have a new life ahead of you and you'll need all of your strength to help pull yourself together to get back in tip top shape. One thing about this surgery -- waiting is the worst part !!!!!!

Take care, get some rest and try to put your mind at ease that everything will be okay. Whatever you have to face, you will face it with God beside you all the way.

Good luck to you and let us know how you're progressing in the post-op chat once your surgery is done.

Many s and es to you for a speedy recovery.

Paula

six days also

Hi mistress196,

I understand what you are going through the ups and downs that come with the lupron shot. I could always tell when it was time for my next one, I start to become the ***** from mars. My dh is not here right now so it is me and the kids 3, grandma comes infour days. I would like to have a good cry but I feel like I have to put on a strong front for the kids. So I try to keep busy do things with the kids and read my hystersisters book, and make sure I have cross all of my "T". so hang in there and I will see you in post op, where we can share.

think happy thoughts
