A true vent I'm sorry

Good morning sisters.
Your help already does so much. But I need to vent and I hope you don't mind.
I knew going into surgery I was going to come home to an unsupportive husband. The first full week he helped with the kids )who are four and five ). But now he's gone back to nasty status with me. This past week has been rough. Cramping a lot issues with the restroom which I take a stool softener and gas x. Today I'm really uncomfortable and hubby disappears. He's told me he doesn't love me nor care which I knew going in. But lately he's not wanting to help anymore and he makes me feel like he doesn't care if I live or die. He told me to deal.
After my recovery I what to do and I pray for the strength to carry on. Why can't I have a supportive hubby who loves me I deserve if

Re: A true vent I'm sorry

I am so sorry you are going through this! I can't imagine having to deal with that on top of recovery. I pray Gods peace on you and that your husband would realize his need to be a decent human being. I'm also going to pray God will show to someone you can call to help you in your remaining recovery time. Be blessed and know your sisters are here for you any time you want to vent.

Re: A true vent I'm sorry

I am sorry you do not have support at home, but you do here

Sometimes we see the "real" person in times of need, and hopefully once you are better you will have the strength to find someone that will be there "for better or for worse". My only suggestion is to pretend he is not there which means you won't have any expectations and therefore won't be upset when he doesn't support you! If there are friends, neighbors, or even acquaintances that you can call on if you need help, then do that. You would be surprised to know how people want to help...
Is there anyone that can take the kids or come in and help with them while you get better?

Re: A true vent I'm sorry

It might be my anger getting the getting the better of me right now because im having a rought day, but yes, ignoring him gives me no expectations. He has now gotten the kids and took them out, and im watching my dvr snuggling with my cat. we have talked divorce a while, but you would like i would still be treating like a human being. <3 you sisters

Re: A true vent I'm sorry

I am very sorry that you feel alone and neglected when you need your husband the most. I agree with NewinNC2012, just don't expect anything and you won't be let down. Hugs to you.

Re: A true vent I'm sorry

You can have a loving supportive husband.. But maybe not him? Maybe this is the time to evaluate things. I know divorce shouldn't always be the answer. But just what you have said sounds like on the edge of emotional abuse. I would seek counseling, with or with out him and consider that you deserve oh so much more!

Re: A true vent I'm sorry

I'm sorry you are going through that. I'm dealing with same kind of thing. I've just came home today so he's been helpful so far. Tuesday before i went in he yelled he hoped the surgeons made a mistake and I would die.
