I did not realize...

I had no idea how much pain I would be in.
I am being pampered BUT the pain is terrible
I hate feeling like this and I hate being a baby

Hey beautiful girl and welcome to the other side!

It's still so early in your recovery fnaylor and what you've had is major surgery....and you are definitely NOT being a baby sweet girl! You are being very brave and pain is to be expected only a few days out. Try and keep on top of the pain and take whatever meds your doctor has prescribed, religiously and on time, even if sometimes you may feel that you don't need them otherwise the pain may just creep up on you and then it's difficult to get it back in line.

It will get better princess and each day you will be stronger. Just keep monitoring your pain for any changes or increase, etc...whatever you may think, 'doesn't feel right'. You will know and your body will tell you, when there is something that should be looked at. If you are ever in doubt where pain is involved, don't hesitate to speak to your doctor. That's what they are there for. Always err on the side of caution and a simple phone call to your doctor will put your mind at ease.

Big hugs to you sweet girl and take care. It WILL get better and you WILL feel better and stronger with each passing day. Take care now and hope your pain eases soon. keep us posted on your progress. xoxo.

Hugs galore and blessings to you, xoxo.

I had my op yesterday, same as yours- bladder catheter, drip, pethadine... knocked me for a six that's for sure. Still can't walk further than a couple of steps. I do the rosary and type and do anything to keep my mind off it- I feel like my abdomen is going to explode... yuk, yuk, yuk

I had liquid this time and my brain doesn't feel so pickled How is the pain?
