Devastated And Enraged!

I am glad you're headed in the right direction. One comment you made bothers me though....your doc wants to "confer" with the other doc. Why? Does he care about you...really? Does he want to share a certain detail that is preventing him from doing your surgery? Have you been able to ask him the real reason why he has done this? Once again, without valid reasoning because of a medical condition that you may have that presents a danger to you for surgery, I would watch it!

Take care and good luck!

Jackie

p.s. I realize that this is not a funny situation, but it brings to mind the Seinfeld episode with with Elaine was "blacklisted" with NY docs....funny t.v., but not real funny in real life....Geez!

I'm sorry you're going through this, but maybe it's for the best. My thoughts would be that he's either not qualified enough to do the surgery or there is something else in the background you should be concerned about. I would get to another doctor who has no association with this man ASAP....and he should be out of the picture completely.

Hang in there. Nothing happens without a reason, even though we may not know it at the time.

Good luck to you.

Devastated And Enraged!

My heart goes out to you teacher. I read your post in utter disbelief. I am so sorry for you.

My problems were no way near as deep as yours but I had a dr who just fobbed me off constantly even though she admitted to me she didn't see the treatment she was giving was working either. It was on the recommendation of a friend that I changed gp and 7 months later I was a princess. (quite quick for UK NHS) My gyn was visibly shocked at how I'd been treated and I can't say how glad I am that I changed dr.

As several others say, things happen for reasons sometimes best known for themselves and it isn't until later that we see why.

You deserve better and I hope and pray it all comes good for you in the quickest time possible. and
