nervous but ready

Hi, I will become a princess on June 25. I had my pre-op today. I have talked to so many women who have told me I will feel like a new woman after this. I really hope so! I am having a TAH/BSO because of cysts and endo since age 14. I am 29 now. I'm a little nervous about the surgery itself, anesthesia and all. I don't do well with needles. I'm also a little nervous about the pain after, but I've been putting up with pain and exhaustion for years. This sight has been very helpful to me. Please wish me luck and keep me in your prayers. Oh, the RN told me today that gingerale was good for the gas pains. Anyone try this?

nervous but ready

Today is my last day as a LIW too!
The nurse is supposed to call today with the final surgery time--hospital scehdules etc. I hope it is early. I have to do 2 days of liquid diet --started yesterday Monday and do the bowel prep drinking that awful stuff starting at noon today. After that I know it won't bother me that I cannot eat food, but right now I want breakfast! I am drinking my 50% less caffine coffee though. I took the boys and a friend to the water park yesterday. Figured it would be last time I'd get to go until August sometime. I am nervous and a little anxious. But I'm ready to go to the Castle. I am so glad I found this board.
Thanks ladies!

I am also going to the castle tomorrow, I am more nervous that I have forgotten to pay a bill or get things ready for my family. My doc didnt make me drink the bowel prep, nor did he tell me to not eat solids. Do you think that will be ok? I am going to liquidfy the rest of the day.... I know my bowels will run rampid before I leave to go to the hospital....
