Hi all,
I just found out yesterday that I need to have surgery and went stright to the internet with many questions. A fibroid has gotten a bit out of hand. No serious problems yet but Dr. says think it over, call soon to schedule. Looking here to find out what to expect. I don't know enough yet to ask any good questions.

You will find lots of helpful information on the home page drop down menus. Scroll towards the bottom and look for the "Ladies in Waiting" drop down list. Lots of neat things I didn't even realize I needed to know after I found I had to have surgery. Also, try doing a search here using the search feature for "fibroid". Fibroids have been discussed many times on the boards.

You will have questions as you work through this process and post them here often. The ladies are wonderful.

I've had the biopsy and ultrasound, and am now just waiting for the word that I can have the hysterectomy. Can't wait. I've found this site a real treasure. Remember, knowledge is power. The more you study, the better-informed decisions you'll make about what's right FOR YOU! Best of luck. My prayers are with you.
