Painful intercourse

I am 10 weeks post op from having my tubes and ovaries removed abdominally, 1 year out from my original hysterectomy. I did not experience painful intercourse after my first surgery but have had a sharp stabbing pain on my left side during intercourse since the last surgery. I was given the OK for intercourse after the 6 weeks were up, but have had kept it to a minimum because of the pain. My husband has been so kind and patient but I feel horrible about it! It is very depressing for my husband and I because we were sure we were on the road to recovery from all the discomfort that the endometriosis was causing. Am I expecting too much too soon?

I am sorry you are having pain. If over the counter lubricants don't help, like Astroglide, etc. I would go in to see the dr about it. Sometimes ladies find relief from estrogen vaginal cream. It helps lubricate and heal tissues in there.
