So much to be thankful for!

I didn't know if this would be appropriate to post on here but I wanted to share. I'm just so deeply touched. I had my TVH on Mon, Jan 21. I don't have a lot of relatives on my side of the family and those I have do not live nearby. And although I have a husband and three wonderful children I was feeling sort of alone.
My hospital room was filled with friends and loved ones during my surgery and hospital stay. Since I've came home last night two of my neighbors brought a complete supper over. Now today my husband had to return to work and a friend volunteered to stay with me all day so I wouldn't be alone. She and another friend returned later and brought supper. Then another car pulled up and four women from a local church brought a ham and cheese tray, cookies, chips, coffee, drinks, bread, even Reese Cups...yum. Then after they left another lady brought a Fudge Marble Cake and another called and said she would be bringing a pound cake Saturday.
I'm just so deeply touched by their thoughtfulness. And it makes me realize that I have SO much to be thankful for. And I'm thankful for this site. It has helped me so much during my Pre Op and now my Post Op. Just reading about others going through the same thing makes me feel better.
P.S. I'm also thankful for Stool Softners, Apple Juice, and Pain Meds

So much to be thankful for!

Hi Haveaheart66
I think it's nice that your heart is full and you're wanting to share how blessed you are. I'm happy for you that you have kind people who are willing to serve you like this. I know what you mean because I also was blessed to have people bringing in meals and willing to help in so many nice ways. It is humbling while at the same time so wonderful.

I know many members don't have the support they would like to have and also really need. My heart goes out to all the brave women who recover pretty much on their own. I rejoice with you (((haveaheart66))). I hope your recovery goes well and you'll be healed up before you know it.
's, Rita
