5 days post hysterectomy

Hi ladies, I am 5 day post op-LAVH-kept both ovaries. I spent one night in the hospital. Now I am home laying on the couch. It all went way better than I was expecting. I have had little pain and I'm not tired. I continue to have light bleeding, which the doctor told me is normal. I have some cramping today, but I may have done a little too much around the house yesterday. I am considering going back to work on Monday since I would be probably do less there! LOL Anyone else have surgery November 20th? Thanks for being here~ Rhonda

Hey Rhona not sure what you do for work but Blimey I don't think you should go back so soon. Just chill out and take care of yourself for a few more weeks. If you had hurt a tendon it takes six weeks at least to recover and you have just had an organ removed! Bleeding means your wounds haven't fully healed yet even if it is a small amount.
I had my Op three weeks ago and bled slightly for about a week and then it stopped. feel so much better now but still have some nippy pain now and again.
Think of something else to do like sewing or painting or catching up on some tv for a few more weeks.

I had my surgery same day. Planning on going back to work next week my doctor told me I only needed two weeks at home. So worried. Does seem soon. I am a teacher

Hi ladies..please please if you can take the time away from work..your body needs it..depending on your work,its un needed stress your inside healing body doesn't need....I.know your feeling great, as I am...just a thought...good to hear your feeling great!..
