D-DAY JANUARY 17

Hi Miam
Welcome to the right to place for a person with fears and concerns. I signed on in November and my surgery is scheduled for next Thursday. I have found so much support here. Just read as many of the posts as you can . It is good to be an informed patient. Make a list of questions for your doctor. Only you know how much pain you can handle and if it affects the quality of your life, it is okay to do something to make the quality better.

That is one of my biggest problems is all the advice from people who have never been in our shoes - they say don't worry - its nothing - people do it all of the time, my friend had it and she's okay.. I wish they could understand the emotional part to this - above and beyond the pain & recovery but the big change to our lives and our bodies. I know it means no more periods, pain, headaches and heavy bleeding.. but this is a big adjustment for me being only 41 - I just never thought I would have it done so early - just figured I'd be a 70 women before they said I should. I appreciate their concern but I wish people wouldn't be so nonchalant about this surgery, its so important and scarey to me.

D-DAY JANUARY 17

Hey! I'm a January 17 maiden too. I also onlyhave one child but, I don't believe I could have any more. I've been married 13 years and only one child, doesn't look like there could be any more babies. I thank God for the one I have and pray that he takes care of him while I'm in the hospital.
