LAVH on 27th August

Hi Everyone,

This is such a great site, I have been having a few weepy moments and getting very nervous, but over the weekend read loads on here and today have woken up feeling so much calmer, Thank you!!

I go in on Wed, having bowl prep tomorrow - not looking forward to that at all!!

I have 3 fibroids giving me a uterus 18 week size, I am a bit surprised that I am not too big for LAVH. Anyone else had this done with a uterus as large as mine?

My uterus was 22 weeks. I had multiple fibroids (too many to count). I had to be cut from above my belly button down. Your recovery will probably not be as long. I was told going in that they knew they had to cut me up and down but they wouldn't know if they would have to go past the belly button until they got in there and of course they had to. My surgery did go well though. My uterus weighed 8 lbs. I am 7 months post opp. Hugs and best wishes with your surgery.

I had a LAVH. I had several fibroids. Not that big though. I had a internal cut, to help it out I guess. You should do fine. Good luck to you and don't forget to rest!

You had surgery today, I hope all went well!

I had a LAVH and my fibroid was 7.8 cm and my uterus was 8 or 9cm (fibroid was on top of the uterus).
