Counting Down to the surgery

Hi,
I decided to post this morning....off from work for the next month. Counting down the days before surgery and I have been a busy bee this morning. I have been cleaning again, washing clothes, towels, sheets....helping my MIL get the house in order too. I also have been getting my bag that will go to the hospital with me ready. I have put a few things in there but some of it I can't because I will be using.

I am doing ok right now...trying to keep myself occupied so I won't think too much about Monday. I am calm right now, but I am sure when Sunday rolls around, it will be on my mind. My father is coming in tonight to be with me for the week, my husband is taking two weeks off to be with me, and my MIL is taking Monday off to be at the hospital. My friends have all wished me well and tell me that they will be praying for me.

As I have said before, I am so glad that I discovered the Hystersisters.....been a godsend to me.

Stephanie, sounds like you've got a good handle on things! Remember to freeze some meals and have lots of small healthy things in the house to eat (bananas, yogurt). You may not feel like eating much for the first few weeks. And you'll need gas x and stool softener as well.

My surgery is Tuesday and I am at the same point. Today was my last day of work and I have all of my pre-op shopping done. Now that I marked off the last thing from my lists the reality has hit me and the anxiety and doubt is kicking in.
