Bruising that caused so much bleeding??

Went to the doctor yesterday to make sure everything was ok with sutures.. All ok there thank goodness! So what was the reason woke up to so much blood and been bleeding for week.. She said I had a bruise that had blood collected behind after surgery and it burst and is almost gone. Back to low activity of walking in my bedroom every 10 mins then back in bed for 3 days to make sure it's gone. oh and there was a little leftover packing inside she pulled out.. Just happy to know I will be getting better soon.

Re: Bruising that caused so much bleeding??

I'm happy to hear that things are ok now. Please make sure and rest. I do hope you're feeling better. Here is a link to a hyster sisters article about hematomas. It sounds like that's what you may have experienced. Hematoma after surgery. I hope it helps.

Re: Bruising that caused so much bleeding??

Thank you Ellsie1122 for the article, I believe that is what I have. I think it's almost gone as the bleeding is ( knock on wood) a lot less.

PetraR- oh thank you so much for letting me know you had this. Was your uncomfortable? I noticed I'm not in a lot of pain just some discomfort at times. Thanks again ladies!

Re: Bruising that caused so much bleeding??

I am going to check out that article cuz I think that could be my situation too,. Two blood clots passed 2 nights i a row. And I haven't done that much out of the oridinary - being very careful - but I did have to ride in the car twice and had a vaginal exam for my post op check up.
