No More Anxiety!

Well, Ladies,
After my horrible shopping trip from Hell, I no longer have any anxiety at all about my upcoming surgery in January. Isn't it strange that sometimes you forget how heavy your periods are and then 3 weeks later, wham, you get reminded again.

I just spent the morning and early afternoon with my college daughter, shopping, trying on clothes, lunch out, etc. Today is day 3, the dreaded day 3 of my period. Normally I never go out of the house on day 3, but this morning things seemed "light" so I took a chance and left the safety of my own bathroom. Didn't do too bad until the last store we were in and waiting in the never ending checkout line, when it happened and happened fast - instant flood and clots, bleeding, etc. Had to get out of line and go hide in the car while my daughter paid for my purchases. I just sat and cried and then it dawned on me that I have the solution and to not worry so much, it can't be any worse than what I have gone through.

After the pity party was over, I am resolved to take my surgery and recovery seriously, walk right away, do everything my doctor says, and I WILL BE FINE, I WILL BE BETTER!! Thank God for this forum - I could not do this without all of you. Thank you!!

With such a positive attitude you'll do excellently. Good luck. I was back to normal at 2.5 weeks, I know everyone is different but I went in and out of this with positive attitude, and I'm 11 weeks now and doing fab.

I'm sorry that you're shopping trip ended up not so good. It sounds like it was ok til the last though , I'm happy about that for you.

It sounds like it was a reminder to you about why you need the surgery. I'm happy that you're going in with a nice positive outlook. I'll be keeping you in my that all goes well for you.
