I'm So Happy!!! Home Again!!

I'm home from the hospital and so glad. Why didn't anybody tell me that this would be so easy. yesterday made 2 weeks exactly and I'm fine no problems no pains. no nothing. Is this normal or is it coming...... I Love this site I read many of your post before having the surgery and you galss really helped alot. I'm telling my doctor about this site for any women in the future. I think I will buy a mug with the name hystersisters on it so he won't forget. As I sit here and write my navel is itching. I can't see in it but it sure is starting to bother me any body had this problem maybe it heard me saying how wonderful everything went so far......

Like you I felt great at my 2 weeks so I did more than I should have. Take the advice and do not do too much. Weeks 4-6 have reminded me I had major surgery. Rest when you can.

Welcome home! Glad to hear that you are feeling so well. And yep, just remember to pace yourself and ease back into your routines per doctors orders.

Be well. Wishing you a continued smooth recovery.

Thank all of you so much!! Words just can't say how much I appreciate you ladys. but nobody answered my question about the navel. I know that's where he went into for the surgery but I can't see in it to see what's going on. Well maybe it's just healing huh!!

It's so good to hear how well you are doing. I go Monday, and have a bit of anxiety about how well I will heal afterwards. I mentioned this website to my doc and he already knew about, and said he was about to say something to me about. I think it's great when a doc lets you know about the various support groups available. Hope the rest of your recovery goes as smooth.

What kind of surgery did you have?

I know that I had a similar irritation following a laparoscopy as it healed. It might be worth it, though, to give your doctors office a call. Maybe they have a trick up there sleeve that they recommend to their patients. Good Luck!!
