Does anyone knowanything about HER2+

I'm a little confused, reading back over your previous posts, on what it is you're asking. You mentioned in another post that you were on Herceptin (so I gather your cancer was Her2+ ?) and that you weren't tolerating it well. So, what is it you want to know? Are you trying to decide whether or not to have a hysterectomy? Usually we get women here who are on Tamoxifen and wanting a hysterectomy because Tamoxifen increases the risk of uterine cancer; I haven't heard that is a risk with Herceptin, so I'm not sure why you'd want to have your uterus removed?

However, there is some evidence that, if you were to stay on the Herceptin, it would work better if you didn't have any estradiol in your system:

That can be accomplished either by removing your ovaries or by chemically shutting them down. Either way, you'd go through surgical menopause.

But if you're not going to stay on Herceptin, what is the point? Perhaps you could elaborate?

-Linda
