Urination - feeling almost constant need

Hi everyone -
I was one of the unlucky ones that my bladder did not want to function after cath came out. My motivation first morning was the nursing staff telling me they would have to cath me again if I didn't empty below 300 on bladder scan - that was all the motivation I needed. After much work and running water, I did what they needed.
Even though my flow is now starting on its own, I still have to push to get more out and feel an almost constant need to go. No pain or burning. Should I drink more?less? Don't want to wind up with infection...

No, you need to drink a lot of water not less. Also, please call your doctor about the constant need to go. You could have a UTI without all the symptoms.

I am day 2 and I also feel like I have to go constantly. I am flooding myself with water, I think because of all of the manipulation we've had down there the bladder is probably irritated.

I also have a lot more pain today than I did yesterday :-(
