Peeing for England!!!!!!!

Hi ladies

I am 4 weeks post op and finding that every night, I have to get up to visit the loo 3 times a night.
That, in itself is not too bad, I can cope with it!!! The problem is, when I get back into bed, I get terribly hot and sweaty.

I wondered if my bladder will ever get back to its pre-op state???
Any thing I can do to speed up recovery???

Love and 's

Peeing for England!!!!!!!

I had similar experience at 1.5 weeks. Doctor tested and treated bladder infection.

Maybe check that out? Good luck.

Your complaint sounds like me! You should check with your doc to make sure you don't have an infection as rohan suggested.

I didn't have an infection so I made sure I stopped drinking fluids before 6 p.m. while making sure I still had taken in 2 litres of water during the day. I still sometimes sweat when I get back to bed - throw off the duvet - but at least I'm not up usually more than once a night now. I also started using Replens for vaginal irritation and I found that seemed to lessen the bladder irritation as well. My GYN just says "it's hormones". I was almost 4 years post-menopausal when I had my surgery, but it's amazing how much the ovaries, etc. were still contributing! I've also the taking the "hot flash cocktail" mentioned on this site and my seem to be diminishing. It may be a placebo effect but go placebos

Best wishes and I hope you get comfort soon Good sleep is so essential to recovery!

Peeing for England!!!!!!!

The first several weeks I did the same - of course I was drinking a full glass of water just before going to bed - what else could I expect!??!
Was also sleeping under just a sheet with dh under 3 blankets. It's gotten much better - now I can have a blanket but have my arms out. As always, check with doc.
