How are my 6-mos. Sisters feeling?

Hi Ladies! Just thought I would check in and wish you all a Happy New Year!!! I have adjusted to life without Aunt Flo, and let me tell ya, I don't miss her! I still have a little pain just above my incision, and my New Years goal is to tighten my abdomen (and loose a little weight!) and maybe my giggly-belly will go away. I wanted to thank all of those who were there for me six months ago. It's seems like such a long time ago! I'm glad I found HysterSisters to get me through. This site is wonderful! I'm almost in that 6 month range- it will be 5 months on 1/8.

Physically and mentally I am doing well. It is lovely not to have to worry about "cramps, leakage and clots, oh my."

I am 50 yrs old and had already been experiencing more than 6 years of perimenopause, so I opted to go it without HRT. The worse of it is hot flushes- I get about 7-9 daily and they only last about 2-3 minutes. Problem is though I turn cherry tomato red, which can alarm others who don't know me. I usually just laugh and say, "isn't it warm in here?"

All in all, still happy with my choices. Hope everyone else is fine.

I'll be 6 months on Jan. 6th. I'm feeling pretty good! My only lingering issue is the swelly belly, which of course, is a minor thing. But, it still bugs me. I get more swollen in the evening still, and I do still have some sensitivity around my belly button incision.

I'm trying to do more walking to get my stamina back, but with the weather this time of year, it's hard to get much in.

I'm going without HRT, like Disneyfan56, I was in peri-menopause before my surgery, so my doctor recommended that I try it without HRT. I do have hot flashes (yuck!) and night sweats (even worse!). I can fall asleep, but I usually wake up every 2 hours through the night.

My emotions are always on edge, I cry at the littlest things, when normally I'm a very stoic person. I get stressed out way easier (this is according to my DH) and find myself reacting with tears especially if something frustrates me.

Oh well, they are all minor complaints!
