nausea

I am due to have my surgery in November, but I currently have a swollen belly due to the fibroids. My question is what can i do for the nausea and being unable to hold down food. I am getting really frustrated at this. I also seem to have a migraine that will not go away. Any hints to how to control any of this?

Re: nausea

I've found that ginger really helps with nausea. The docs were giving me all kinds of crazy meds (one was to treat schizophrenia!) but none of them helped (and I was afraid of the side effects). I drink ginger tea, eat candied ginger and ginger cookies. The tea helps with both pain and nausea. Hope you find relief, I know what it's like to deal with nausea. Also, I had to start eating smaller meals because I just couldn't handle large ones.
