Looking for ideas to thank my family/friends/co-workers

I had my surgery on Oct. 18 and since I have had these past 3+ weeks to think about things, I have been racking my brain for a creative way to express my heartfelt thanks to all of my friends, family and co-workers who have been over-the top during my recovery.
I am almost embarassed to count all of the cards, flowers, meals, snacks, magazines, gift cards, treats, phone calls, offers to drive/pick up my daughter, run errands, clean, etc. that I have been so blessed with.
I know that the people in my life do not expect anything in return, but I honestly feel that I cannot let these things go un-noticed. I am looking for some creative way to tell them that what they have done for me and my family has touched my heart and my soul to the core. Please feel free to share some ideas with me. I truly am speechless by these acts of kindness. I for one will do my best to pay it forward to anyone in need. This has been more than eye opening.

Re: Looking for ideas to thank my family/friends/co-workers

I am not very creative.. I just sent hand- written thank you notes. To my mom and mother in law who were with me the 1st couple of weeks thru the worst of it , I sent THEM flowers. I'd be interested to hear what anyone else has done.

I have received a lot of help, too- and since I draw and paint, people will be getting handwritten cards. It may not be glamorous, but it's what I can do right now.

Re: Looking for ideas to thank my family/friends/co-workers

Before my surgery I baked four double batches of my brownies and made little four packs wrapped in plastic wrap and aluminum foil and then frozen them. So, when I want to say thank you I just get out a four pack and write a little thank you note.

But, for me just giving someone a hand written Thank you is so special in this day and age of internet.

I agree, a heartfelt detailed hand written note is always appreciated. It means a lot to people.
