11 days post hysterectomy: Scar itching

My surgery was on January 14, 2016. My scar is itchy. Can I use anything to stop the itching?

Don't put anything directly on the incision, but I applied Benadryl gel alongside it and this helped a good deal.

I had bad itching - had to take antihistamine tablets which helped a lot.

I am in my 6 weeks out and My Scar itches a lot as well. Bur it feels weird when I scratch it because I am numb and I don't feel it. Are you number in the lower part of your belly under your belly button and on your scar?

My surgery date is the same as yours and I started itching where my scars are also. I was wondering the same thing.

I do not have numbness at all. The itching is really the issue. No numbness on the scar or around it. I hope you continue to feel better each day.

Hello, It is so nice to talk to someone that has had the same surgery as me. And we had it on the same day, Wow!
Yes the itching is crazy. Hopefully it is healing like it should.
