New, Scared, and DaVinci robot surgery

Hello. My name is Cathy, Im 44. Scheduled for surgery Feb 19th. Surgeon wants todo the DaVinci Robot Surgery. Has anyone heard of this? /

The DaVinci Robotic Assisted surgery is relatively new, so there aren't thousands of members who have had it, but I have read about some who have undergone this type of procedure. Until one of these members comes along to share their experience, you may want to use the "Search" feature, located in the lavender bar at the top right of this page. Type "DaVinci robotic" or "DaVinci LSH" and you should get some information to read.

I had the Davinci robotic assisted surgery on Sept 23. Felt better within a week after I got off the percocet, but was disappointed that I didn't feel recovered until after 5 weeks. Had a total hyst with ovaries and cervix removed... and nectarine size fibroid, plus smaller ones. I think most of the advertisements for 1 week recovery are for younger women, I'm 55. Went back to work after 6 weeks, and I'm still really tired most of the time... But would I do it again, yes... can't imagine how I would have felt with the traditional surgery.
