Scared....

Thanks April! I'm definitely excited about saying goodbye to the yucks!

Good luck to both of you tomorrow. My surgery was yesterday morning, and I came home today around noon. I had the da vinci robotic assisted surgery, and it went great. I kept my ovaries.
My periods were very heavy and painful and just like you, I was getting ready to start into another cycle (too soon I might add.) But I am sooo glad it's over and I know both of you will be too.

I started my period 2 days before my surgery last Wednesday. I had the robotic surgery with only my uterus removed. I came home the same day. The worst pain I experienced was related to the gas pains in my shoulders that first night and the next day. No other pain was even remotely as close to the pain that I've experienced with my periods!

I was a wreak for 5 months before surgery, literally crying all the time. I don't do well with any surgery or anesthesia. Having everything prepared helped me so much, having my house in order and everything ready for after surgery helped me feel more in control of the situation. The unknown is always such a scary thing to deal with. Just know that we are all with you tomorrow, all your sisters who have been in your shoes, holding your hand and comforting you. It was the best thing I've ever done- no more pain...and you can wear white pants everyday for the rest of your life if you so desire! Hugs to you sister! Best of luck for a great recovery.
