Nightmare op

Hi lady's,

Wanted to share my alwful experience I had from June the 10th with a sub total hysterectomy, it has left me very down and scared of the furture!!! I had my op on the 10th and was home that evening spent the next 1 days in alit of pain, so much I was rushed back to hospital by ambulance and when on arrival to a&e I was predicted with a water infection given 5 different painkillers and sent off to the ward for recovery!!!! Only then spent next 5 days in a daze only waking to be violently sick, had many doctors around my bed and was told a cat scan was needed of no improvement in 24 hours .... 3 days later after my medication sheet had been signed by a nurse saying I had had meds but had not been given them I went down hill fast, only the Monday morning my consultant walked past me and asked why I was still in hospital!!!!! I looked at him very strange and asked him to tell me why I was very ill and still here with no improvement, I was then taken for a cat scan that day ( 4 days later than planned) to reveal I had a mass collection from the op and i my antiboics I was on I was having a reaction to, they where change next day following a blood test to reveal my liver function was really bad due to the medication I had be given for the last seven days, still being sick and running low blood pressure and temperature I took myself off all drugs so I could wake up a bit and know what was going on, within 24hours I was up and out of bed, and on the mend so I felt, my blood test that day came back liver and blood count worse than the day before, another changes of drugs was needed , finally I was allowed home with the help of district nurses to administer my iv meds and back for out patients on Wednesday to have another cat scan and blood tests done a appointment that lasted 8 hours to show that my mass collection had only shrunk, and that a blood clot had now appeared , scared and worried that things where getting worse not better!!! The good news is today is my first day of iv antiboics still on oral and injections for the clot I am feeling ok, back to hospital Wednesday to see where the markers lie, the whole experience has left me scared of what's next, instead of looking to the furture ... Hope this makes sense , and wish anybody tht is in recovery a speedy one xx

Re: Nightmare op

Oh sweetie, it makes sense. I wish that it didn't because I am very upset about the level of care that you were given and I so terribly wish that you didn't have to go through any of that. I'm very thankful that you are still here after all of the incompetence that you've encountered.
I hope that the antibiotics will start to do its job and that it will finally put you on the road to healing.

I'll be praying for you Confused2013. May your days only get better from here on in

Lots of ((HUGS)) to you
