TAH coming up on the 17th

Hi all again.
I have to do an at home enema but im not sure if I have to do it the night before the operation or the morning of?

Still havent talked with my gyno I think the secretary is asleep at the wheel. Ive left 4 messages.

Oh yes btw guess what decided to show up this morning,,,so now not only am I nervous but im so not fond of the idea of being on my period the day of my TAH..........yikes

Definitely follow up on that enema. I was not instructed to do one - but the day before, I ate Activia, Oatmeal and green salad. by the morning of - clean as a whistle. Too bad about not getting call backs - I was fortunate to have very responsive surgeon and office staff. Best of luck. It'll be over before you know it!

I was on my "nightmare curse" when i had my ablasion done and they just had me wear a pad and those all so sexy hospital panties, they gave me some meds in a iv i remember moving to the operating table and that was it!!! no idea who took the panties off!!! No worries the Gyno deals with this all the time. to have a iuc implanted or extracted my sis in law had to be on hers both times!! yikes.

My guess is the enema is for the night before... so you have time to "empty" before the surgery.

My doc is very thorough, I have to do one the night before and the night before that (I'm on liquid diet 1.5 days before my surgery)!

My horrible visitor is also here this week. My surgery is scheduled for Thursday. I'm really not looking forward to being in full on cramp pain, hungry, having migraines (which are triggered when I don't eat) and giving myself 2 enemas. Oh what a fun week! At least it will all be over soon.

What a better birthday presant than to get rid of the pain!

Well I guess that is one thing, that for right now, i dont think i have to have is an enema!!! Oh please i hope not. I have enough to do!!! Has anyones Drs said about sex the night before if it is ok or not?
