Bowel movements post op

There is a reason so many of us celebrate that 1st bm. It takes work and can be very scary. So here is some advice I picked up along the way and am very thankful for.

1) citrucel. I am gluten intolerant and this one is gluten free, no need to make things worse.

2) short (about 6") rise foot stool. Make sure it has no slip feet.

3) good reading material or tablet computer.

Drink your citrucel like clock work.
When the time comes try and relax. Put you feet up on the foot stool, lean back and read or post on hyster sisters. It may not happen the first couple of tries, but it will. I am still using this method 6 days out so that I don't pull anything.
