Left side pain, post op no ovaries...

I had an complete hysterectomy, including ovaries, back in July. In the past few days I've had a aching pain on the left side. Anyone else have this issue? My Dr recently took me off the HRT patch because it wasn't working for me.

My pain issues are different with my most recent surgery so unfortunately I can't speak to that part of your inquiry. However, the two things that came to mind when you mentioned the pain is adhesion and possible hernia. Adhesions are basically scar tissue that happen after any surgery, they can start to pull and cause pain - and sometimes they can make organs stick together as if "glued" and that will cause some pain. I had this issue in a severe way. The other possibility is a hernia, where an organ protrudes out through the muscle. The risk of this depends on the type of surgery.

I don't know that stopping the HRT could have an impact on the pain starting, but I am not a medical professional. I think it's best if you make an appointment asap to get this checked out.

Thanks, I do plan on calling my Dr. tomorrow. Being the weekend, plus the military has a 72 hour window they have to call you back, I was just wanting to see if anyone else ever had this issue.
