Swollen

Hi! I had a partial hysterectomy on June 18. It was supposed to be done laporoscopically (sp?), but it couldn't because of severe endometriosis. I'm feeling much better, but am still tired and my stomach is still quite swollen. Just wondering if this is normal and how long it lasts? Thank you!

Ladies what you're experiencing is normal. Your body has been through a lot and some days you're going to be more tired than others. Just keep walking, drinking a lot of fluids, eating right and rest. And as each day goes ny you'll feel a little better. I'm 3 1/2 months post op and I still experience some swelly belly and ger a little tired some days, but overall, I think I feel pretty good.

The swelly belly is normal also. There's no specific time of when it will go away. It may go away sooner for some than others. I wasn't able to get into any of my pre op pants with the exception of my sweat pants until almost my 2 month mark. For some ladies it may be longer. We all heal differently.
I thought that after my surgery my stomach would go down tremendously; but that wasn't the case. Frustrating some days, but it'll get to where it needs to be. Patience and Persistence is what I'm working on :-)
