Resuming sex/new normal

I am at 3 months post op and was finally just cleared for sex. I had been healing steadily, but way more slowly. Nothing I did, just something that happened to me is all.

So, I had all the nervousness and such like others in my recovery thread, just much later.

It is a little different and we still have to be gentle since there is a still a little granulation wit my cuff.

One thing my DH is struggling with is sensation. I'm trying to be careful of position to prevent a UTI and injury. I guess I even lost muscle tone there too. I had done my Kegels some, but apparently not enough.

Since I had to wait so long to have sex again, I wasn't sure if anyone had similar experiences?

I think what you are experiencing is normal for some ladies. We are different and it takes awhile to get comfortable again. Full recovry can take 6 to 12 months.
