frustrated with scheduling nurse

I am so frustrated with the scheduling nurse for my surgeon..first she calls me and says she was going to schedule me for surgery what days work best for me..I told her she said Ok that she would call me back..a week later no call so I called to find out surgery had been scheduled for July 23 she says she will mail me off paperwork so I can go preregister..here we are a week later and no paperwork..so I call..she says oh I will mail them off tomorrow..ugggh I'm already freaking out about surgery as it is..now I'm freaking out thinking what if the surgeon doesn't show up to surgery day..I do go pre appointment on Monday but that does nothing to calm my nerves until then...Wheeew ok just needed to get that off my chest!

Re: frustrated with scheduling nurse

I hear ya. All my careful plans got tossed around like a rag doll in a tumble dryer this week. The thing that hasn't changed is my surgery date, but until I get the hospital stuff sorted, I can't guarantee that won't change, too. Sorry you're having to deal with such stress at a time like this.

Re: frustrated with scheduling nurse

Yes that's really unprofessional when they don't follow up. Why do you have to babysit everybody to make sure they do it. I know I had some probs like that too. Just do the best you can and that's all you can do. Hang in there

Re: frustrated with scheduling nurse

Exactly..I mean I totally get they have a lot of patients and stuff but to just brush it off for a week makes one wonder! Not once but twice..these dr and schedulers do this stuff on a daily basis but us patients only do it once..they should have more understanding that we are over here freaking out and when someone doesn't do what they say it just makes us more nervous! (well for me anyway)
