TAH: swelling above the incision still ~ anyone else?

Ladies,
I have a silly question and I hope that i'm not the only one experiencing this. Does anyone that has had a TAH have swelling above the incision still from time to time?

It's swelly belly, and it can take a while for it to go away - 5-6 months to a year in some cases.

I haven't had this since week 5 so this is normal to have some swelling? Is it something that i'm doing to cause it?

Many ladies find that the swelling worsens, or returns, as a result of increased activity. Has your routine changed at all recently? It can be frustrating, I know.

If it doesn't improve, or you're at all concerned, then please don't hesitate to have a word with your doctor. Sending all good wishes!

Re: TAH: swelling above the incision still ~ anyone else?

I have had the same issue ( I am only a week out after having a TAH), and aside from being completely bored, I am doing good, not great, but good. The only poochiness that I have is above where the doctor made the incision. Still have a dull pain, but I haven't had to take a pain pill or ibuprofen for 2 days. I hope I haven't spoke too soon.
