WOW!!!! It really hit me today!!!

Whew!!! It makes me feel so much better to hear so many are experiencing the same emotions. It is so calming to come to this site and talk to everyone here. What a blessing this site is!!!! Thanks everyone for your feedback on my thread here, it means so much to have this support!!!

Hi Christine B. I could not wait to have my surgery done. I was bleeding so heavy, I could have just lived on the toilet (I know, gross). Not meant to gross you out but to make a point. This is a pretty major surgery but in the long run, I think it's worth it. Try to keep busy and only focus on the positive that will come from this. You get some R&R and people have to take care of you, that's the best part (ha ha). No seriously, I wish you the best of luck! Stay on the blog and keep us posted. It really helped me when I was going through the process. Be careful with your diet in the 3 months following to 1) keep your colon regular and 2) to keep from gaining excess weight. You won't be able to exercise except for maybe walking so you have to keep on a lower calorie diet. I hope this helps!

I would like to wish everyone a safe successful surgery. My surgery was November 19th a Dvh/Bso. I already feel so much better. My recovery has went well and I have carefully followed Dr's orders. No more severe pelvic, abdominal, and back pain now that my gigantic fibroid is gone. I sincerely hope you all feel as good I do after surgery!

I am in agreement with all of pre surgery anxiety symptoms shared here. I'm 1 week post op and I also had the moment of realization, as I wheeled through Walmart in their scooter, that last week this time I was at the castle. So nice to be on the other side and have this continued support.
