more than tired

I heard it, and I lived it - the "you'll need lots of rest" mantra. But my gosh, this Friday will be six weeks for me and I'm way past tired - way past! I feel as though my eyes are sunken in (and I have NOT lost weight) from tiredness.
Seriously - this tired.... still????
I didn't bleed heavily, but I bled for about 4 weeks - anemia????

If anyone out there experienced this (and is not currently sleeping) please offer some advice/hope....

Hi springtimehope. This surgery really does zap your energy. It could take up to a yr to get to 100%. Everyone is different and it takes some longer to heal than others. I know that's not something that you want to hear when you're frustrated Andrea wondering why you are not further along, but it will get better.
Talk to your doctor, explain that you are not just tired, but exhausted and see what he says. See if he'll check your blood levels to see if your iron is low.

I'm going to ask to have my iron checked also. I'm concerned about going back to work exhausted. I was exhausted going in which they attributed to anemia, now I'm just as tired as before. It has only been 4 weeks so I know I need to be patient, but work concerns me.
