lab work today....

I went to the Dr. office for lab work today, my surgery is on friday!!! today, i felt like, WOW, this is really happeneing!! my dr only said no eating after midnight on thursday....seems like some of you have all kinds of things that you have to do to "prep " yourselves before the big day....I know everyone says waiting is the hardest part....but its getting worse!!! anyone else running around like a maniac this week trying to get all your baskets in a row?

I remember all to well what that last week of preping my house was like! I sure did feel the same way you do now.

Different docs want us to prep and some dont, depends on our unique situations and the doctor's preferences.
I had to drink the go-lytely the day before but others had to do fleets enema, a plain liquid diet or like you....no eating after midnight.

Please follow your docs orders to a "T". Do exactly what they tell you they want and no more or no less. It can be dangerous for yourself not to follow orders before and after a major surgery like this.

Try and focus if you can, on the positive aspects of getting this surgery done. You are going to feel so much better after you recover. I had a hard time remembering what feeling good was like till now. I am so happy with my results and hope you will be too. Hopefully whatever caused you to get to this point will be taken care of with this surgery and you can get on with your life and no more worries about pain, mess or any of it.

You only have a few more days to go but please dont stress about it if you dont get everything done the way you want it. Ask for help when you need it.

Please remember your Princess training for recovery and rest as much as you can and dont do anything you are not cleared to do by your doc until you are.

Hi Day'na is that right??

My surgery is Friday also..today had a colonoscopy I have history of polyps...so that was like my "test run" for Friday. One thing that I am going to do that morning...I have two songs that I always play before something meaningful to me, I told the friend that is driving me, we can talk about anything on the way, but just before I get out of the car, I want to sit in silence,and just hear the words to those songs and
