colon pain since surgery 10 mon. post op

Anyone out there have any colon problems associated with a vag. hyst? The doctor told me everything went perfectly..but 3-4 wks after I had a constant stabbing pain which lasted a good 1hr. I've had about 7or so of these episodes... the last one was just the other night and I was in so much pain. It feels like way up inside me it's twisted or squeezed shut and it's stabbing pain that even shoots down to my toes. I usually take pain meds and laxitives because it feels like it's blocked. The weird thing is I always have had a normal bm that morning before an attack of this. I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy in a couple of weeks but I'm curious if anyone else has had this before. I never had it until after the surgery. I can't help but wonder if it's adhesions or something....

Hi Kona Girl! I didn't have any pains like you are discribing. I'm glad to hear you are having tests in a few weeks. I'm assuming you are having the colostomy due to the problems you are having. I hope they can find the cause of your pain.
